Media Programs
Anderson-Livsey Media Center supports a variety of programs to encourage a lifelong love of reading, instill a habit of reading at home, and to create a community of readers!
Book Fairs
We typically have three Book Fairs each year; one in the Fall, one in the Spring, and one in May. The May Fair is Half-Price off all items!
Book Character Dress Up Day
Each year, in October, students and staff are encouraged to come dressed as a character from a favorite book to celebrate reading in a fun and creative way. Students can participate in a parade around the school and pictures are taken and shared on the scrolling announcements.
Read Across America Events
Each year we celebrate and encourage reading with fun activities that include Themed Dress Up Days and a variety of Contests, Quizzes, and Activities!
Guest Readers
We love to have guest readers come to our school to read to our students during various events and special occasions!
Public Library Events
Anderson-Livsey loves working with the local Public Library to bring fun and educational programs to the school and to encourage families to visit the library for other exciting events. Be sure to watch out for posted information to find out when these are happening.
Digital Citizenship
Our children are growing up in a world surrounded by technology. Most of our students use it on a regular basis. At ALES, we are committed to helping our students learn digital citizenship skills in order to learn, communicate, and collaborate safely and responsibly. Digital citizenship skills are taught throughout the school year.
